Google Business Profile setup for Malaysian businesses.

A correctly set up Google Business Profile is one of the fastest ways to appear in local search results and on Google Maps. Ozvyo offers a one-time RM300 add-on to set up or clean up your profile — so your business details, category, and location are right, and you're ready to collect reviews.

What goes wrong with Google Business Profiles

A missing, unclaimed, or incorrectly filled-out Google Business Profile is one of the most common reasons a local business doesn't show up in Google Maps or the local pack results. These are the issues we see most often.

  • The business profile is unclaimed — anyone can suggest edits, and the information shown to customers may be wrong.
  • The business category is set incorrectly or too broadly, reducing how often Google surfaces it for specific searches.
  • Business hours, phone number, or address are outdated, leading potential customers to show up at the wrong place or at the wrong time.
  • There are no photos on the profile — profiles with photos consistently get more clicks and direction requests.
  • The profile exists but has never been verified, so it doesn't appear as prominently in Maps and local results.

What's included in the RM300 GBP setup

A one-time setup or cleanup of your Google Business Profile so it accurately represents your business and is positioned to appear in local and AI-assisted search.

Claim and verify the profile

We walk through the Google verification process with you — either by postcard, phone, video, or instant verification depending on what Google offers for your category and location.

Category and attribute selection

We set the primary and secondary business categories correctly for your type of business, and fill in the relevant attributes (wheelchair access, payment methods, appointment required, etc.).

Full profile completion

Business name, address, phone, website, hours (including special hours for holidays), description, and service areas — all correctly filled in and consistent with your website.

Photo upload and guidance

We upload your supplied photos (interior, exterior, team, products) in the right categories, and advise on what kinds of photos perform well for your business type.

Review setup basics

We set up a short review request link you can send to past customers, and explain the basics of managing and responding to reviews.

AI discovery note

A correctly set up GBP helps AI tools that draw on Google data — like Google's own AI overviews and Maps-based recommendations — surface your business accurately for local queries.

One-time RM300 add-on

Google Business Profile setup is a one-time RM300 add-on. It can be combined with the RM499/month website plan or done as a standalone service. It covers setting up or cleaning up one business profile — if you have multiple locations, each is quoted separately. The RM499/month website build is a separate service; see the main website design page for details.

Common questions

What is Google Business Profile?

Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is the free tool Google provides for businesses to manage how they appear on Google Search and Google Maps. When someone searches for your business name or a service near them, your Business Profile is the card that shows your address, hours, phone number, photos, and reviews — before they even visit your website.

Why does GBP matter for local and AI search?

Local search results — the map pack that appears at the top of Google results for searches like 'dentist near me' or 'renovation contractor KL' — are driven heavily by Google Business Profile data. Google's own guidance notes that complete, accurate Business Profiles are more likely to appear in local results. AI tools that draw on Google's index, including AI Overviews, also surface GBP data for local queries.

Can't I set this up myself?

Yes, the tool is free and the setup process is public. The value of the RM300 service is time, category expertise, and making sure it's done correctly — choosing the right business category, writing a description that works for both human readers and search, and avoiding the common mistakes that reduce visibility.

Do I need a website too?

A website and a GBP profile work best together — the profile drives local Map searches, and the website gives people a place to learn more and contact you. The RM300 GBP setup can be done standalone, but we'd recommend also looking at the RM499/month website plan if you don't have a current site.

What if my profile already exists but has wrong information?

This is the most common case. We claim the existing profile (if unclaimed), correct the details, set the right categories, and verify — this is a cleanup, not a new setup, but it's covered by the same RM300 fee.
